Batch Studio

Batch StudioBatch Studio® manages the execution of SAS code.  It audits, documents and manages the dependencies within and between your SAS Programs.  With Batch Studio you are now able to easily submit SAS code, visualising inputs, outputs and dependencies between your programs.

Who is Batch Studio for?

Those who wish to execute SAS programs in batch mode, with control over the sequence of execution and the ability to trace dependencies between SAS programs.
Batch Studio is suitable for those who write SAS programs in the Display Manager, SAS Enterprise Guide or those who publish SAS code from SAS Enterprise Guide projects or SAS Data Integration Studio and who do not wish to learn complex scheduling interfaces.

Key Benefits

Batch Studio organises the execution of SAS programs in batch mode.  With features that support integrity in SAS projects and environments, Batch Studio is a significant benefit to any individual, team or organisation.
Many organisations work with SAS because of the flexibility from its fourth generation programming language and more organisations benefit from the reproducibility gained by the ability to execute SAS programs in batch mode.  Batch Studio's features safeguard the integrity of your work in a self explanatory environment.

Process Automation

Dependency Management

The ability to trace where data impacts through SAS programs at the click of a button is a hugely powerful and timesaving feature. When a SAS program or source file is modified Batch Studio highlights the programs affected, allowing you to synchronise your outputs.

Batch Lists

Group SAS programs into individual lists for submission.  Lists can be submitted directly or scheduled. Batch Studio can contain numerous batch lists with a program belonging to many batch lists as desired. Organisations that license SAS on Microsoft Windows Servers can execute or schedule batch lists on their servers from Batch Studio.

Audit Trail

The date stamp each SAS Program is run and the identity of that user is automatically logged and displayed in Batch Studio and may be exported to Microsoft Excel.  Program inputs and outputs are displayed in Batch Studio and may be exported to Microsoft Excel.

Log Analysis

The SAS log is an extremely valuable audit trail itself.  Batch Studio automatically analyses the SAS log for errors, warnings, notes and even your own custom defined messages.  Batch Studio flags errors, warnings and user defined messages.  Batch Studio allows logs to be redirected, for example using Proc PRINTTO, without impacting the integrity of the log file analysis. The integral log viewer displays colour coded log files and allows rapid navigating between errors and warnings.
