Metacoda System Requirements and Licensing
A Metacoda Software License File is required to enable Metacoda Security Plug-ins. This license file is sent via email to Metacoda customers when they purchase a commercial license (or apply for an evaluation license) and after each annual renewal of the license.
SAS Software Requirements
Metacoda Security Plug-ins are designed to run within the SAS Management Console and must be installed on a workstation that already has SAS Management Console software installed.
There are 2 versions of Metacoda Security Plug-ins currently supported for the 3 major SAS software versions our customers use. The following table outlines which version of Metacoda Security Plug-ins should be used with which SAS software version

The latest version of Metacoda Security Plug-ins is V2.0 and is supported for use with both SAS 9.3 and SAS 9.2. If you would like to use Metacoda Security Plug-ins with SAS 9.1.3 SP4 you will need to use the older Metacoda Security Plug-ins V1.0 which is still supported. Whilst the older V1.0 release was supported for use with SAS 9.2 we now recommend the use of V2.0 with SAS 9.2. V2.0 provides additional components and features specifically for use with SAS 9.2 and SAS 9.3. These include the new Role Reviewer, Capability Reviewer and Internal Login which are not available in the V1.0 release.

Operating System
Metacoda Security Plug-ins are supported on any operating system where SAS Management Console can be installed.
Licensing
Metacoda Security Plug-ins are licensed through Metacoda Pty Ltd on an annual renewal basis. You will be familiar with this model from your use of SAS software.
Three classes of license are available for Metacoda Security Plug-ins:
- Site License: suitable for organisations that have multiple SAS platform administrators using Metacoda Security Plug-ins to access multiple SAS metadata servers in a single organisation.
- Single-Named-User License: suitable for small organizations that only have one platform administrator, this license can only be used by 1 named person and is tied to their user id.
- Multi-site Partner License: a specialist license suitable for consulting partners that need to use Metacoda Security Plug-ins to provide on-site support for multiple client organisations.
Your annual license of Metacoda Security Plug-ins includes access to the Metacoda Customer Portal, which contains ongoing software updates and technical support for the term of your license.
