Example Single Real-Time View Application

This application shows how different types of data can be integrated together, using three types of data; traffic information, weather information and a road map.

In this example traffic information from the Highways Agency feeds into SAS along with weather information for requested locations from Yahoo. The imported data has been plotted onto Google Maps using the longitude and latitude obtained from the traffic and weather information. The weather markers indicate current weather conditions at the specified coordinates.

The end result is a powerful application that integrates multiple data sources into a single real-time view.

This type of application will work with any number of simultaneous data sources in real time or batch update modes, for example: news feeds, stock market updates, flight information, footfall monitors and crime maps.
